Missing In Action

I can't believe its been almost a month since I've updated. I have certainly been busy! This past Friday I had my first LARGE event to do at work. It was a Halloween event for the community. At the beginning of the week, I started to worry that nobody would come, but we had almost 1200 people attend the event!

As I was zipping around (in costume!) I was watching the families. They were having so much fun. It was great to see a ton of little kids running around in costumes. Watching all of the events unfold made me feel grateful for the job that I have. Seeing all of the smiling faces let me know that I'm in the right place.

It's so nice to have a job that's so fulfilling and does so much for the community. It's also nice to work with a great group of people who do this because they love it, and not because they "have to."

On another note, we had about 100 volunteers that helped run the event. Most of them were from the local High School and Jr. High. I can't say enough about them! They were wonderful! It was them that really made this event happen. Their excitement was contagious, and I'm blown away by how willing they were to help.

It's days like that, when the entire community comes together, that I see God at work in a big way.....and it's awesome!
